What's In a Fountain?
Not long ago I was challenged by a dear friend to begin writing a blog. She told me she enjoyed my writing and that perhaps others might enjoy it as well. She even suggested the blog website for me to begin this adventure. I'm calling this blog Fountain Reflections.
The inspiration for these reflections hopefully will come from various experiences I have had along my journey. One particular awareness I have experienced came to the forefront of my thoughts related to the Bible story found in John chapter four or better known as Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well. What has so intrigued me about this encounter was when Jesus told her that the water he was willing to give her freely would be like an artesian well springing up from within her. What I discovered about this woman and also myself was this fountain in which Jesus spoke was not distant from her or beyond her reach, but rather waiting to awaken from within her. To awaken to the reality of this inner fountain and to discover that it has always been within each of us is to discover the reality of the good news Jesus came to share.
Since I began this journey of writing entries into this blog I have been constantly amazed at the number of people that continue to visit this site. With all my heart I thank you for the encouragement you provide me to continue writing. I invite you to click on the menu button above to share in the various reflections within this blog. I have included a Table of Contents to better assist anyone seeking to locate a particular blog entry. Again, thank you for sharing in this adventure!
Blessings on your journey.
