Thoughts on Self

It is the generosity of God to give to our existence. That is the substance of what we can give to others. When self is still something to be protected and justified, it cannot simultneously be the love gift it is meant to be.

Not long ago a question came to my spirit asking the following:

"Do you think redemption would come from a redeemer?"

I replied, "Yes!"

Then I heard this question in my spirit.

"If redemption occurs, who initiates it?"

I replied, "I suppose from the redeemer."

"Then who is responsible for your redemption?"

I replied, "It would have to be the Redeemer."

"That is correct," Jesus said. "I am responsible for your redemption, not you!!!!"

Later I asked myself, Why would anyone refuse redemption?

Perhaps because they are unaware of their need for it, and they are unaware of just how much they are loved by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit of which Jesus, the Redeemer, is the visible representation!
