When seeds fall helpless to the earthTo seek a place in which to growIt matters much upon where they landTo find their sustenance to flowNot all seeds find that happy restThat's created by their fallFor some are trampled underfootAnd fail to grow at allBut when conditions bless the dayTo bring life to the seedThe potential that it finds withinIs one we all must heedSoil and rain and light of dayCaress the seedling throughWith root and bark and leaf and limbTransforming it as it grewYears and years have passed this wayWith season's maturing themeA blossom's fragrance attracts the eyeAnd captivates the dreamFor now this seed has borne itselfA fruit so lush and sweetAnd sown its offspring on the groundA cycle now complete
